Leicester City v West Bromwich Albion Betting: Both teams to find the net at the King Power

Leicester City will be hoping for a first Premier League victory in six matches when they welcome West Bromwich Albion to the King Power Stadium on Monday.

The Foxes’ 2-0 victory over Brighton in August remains their only win of the league season so far, although they are 19/20 (1.95) favourites with bet365 to come out on top in this one.

Having gone six games without a victory in all competitions themselves, Tony Pulis’ side are on offer at 10/3 (4.33) to collect maximum points against their Midlands rivals.

Just one of the last 11 encounters between these sides has resulted in a draw, but you can get odds of 5/2 (3.50) on them cancelling each other out on this occasion.

After turning the team around to great effect following Claudio Ranieri’s controversial dismissal last season, Craig Shakespeare has now overseen just a single victory in 10 league fixtures.

While this downturn may be partly attributable to the end of the ‘new manager bounce,’ it has certainly not been helped by a difficult run of fixtures as six of those 10 matches have been against the teams that made up last season’s top six and, while each encounter has resulted in defeat, Shakespeare’s team have at least found the net in five of those.

In fact, the former assistant manager has seen his side fail to score just three times in 20 matches under his command, as they average exactly two goals a game on home turf, and the hosts should feel confident of finding some joy against a visiting defence that has kept just two clean sheets in 21 league matches on the road, letting in at least two goals in six of their most recent seven.

However, having drawn a blank just once in their last six away games, the Baggies look equally likely to punish a defence that has conceded 12 times in the last five home games.

All in all, odds of 19/20 (1.95) certainly seem generous on both teams getting on the scoresheet for the 16th time in 20 games between Leicester and West Brom.
