Celta Vigo vs Real Madrid: TV channel, live stream, squad news & preview

With a ruthless victory over Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League all but confirming their progression to the knockout rounds, Real Madrid are back in business under caretaker Santiago Solari.

Three wins in seven days have helped to lift the mood around Los Blancos following the departure of Julen Lopetegui and now they travel to Celta Vigo looking to keep their La Liga resurgence in top gear.

Antonio Mohamed's side won't make their visit easy though; they held Madrid to a 2-2 draw at Balaidos last season and have already sent Atletico packing with a 2-0 defeat this campaign.

Solari faces arguably his toughest test yet then in the hot seat - but another win here to make it four from four could go a long way to helping him secure the position on a full-time basis.

Match Preview

Three games, three wins - it's fair to say that caretaker manager Santiago Solari has brought some much needed cheer back to Real Madrid in the wake of Julen Lopetegui's exit.

Following the former Spain manager's departure in the wake of a 5-1 hammering at the hands of Barcelona , Los Blancos turned to their reserve team coach and he has delivered the goods.

Madrid's 5-0 victory against Viktoria Plzen on Wednesday in the Champions League all but confirmed the holders would reach the last 16 and calls are mounting for the Argentine to get the job on a full-time basis.

With victory in this weekend's La Liga game away to Celta Vigo, Solari may just all but confirm his credentials to president Florentino Perez as the most viable candidate to take the reins.

But Madrid face a formidable opponent, third-highest in the league goalscoring charts this season and capable of producing the big upset on their day.

Celta Vigo have already seen off Atletico 2-0 here earlier this season - and held both Madrid and Barcelona to draws earlier in 2018 too.

Powered up front by the freewheeling duo of Aspas and Gomez , Antonio Mohamed's team know how to find their mark and find it well.

Madrid however have a recovered ace up their sleeve; France international Karim Benzema.  The striker broke his drought with a brace against Plzen in the Czech Republic midweek, bringing up a double-century of goals for the club in the process.

Now back on the scoresheets, he will be sure to provide a potent threat for Solari, in tandem with Lucas Vazquez and Gareth Bale up front.
