After filling in the coffers by selling Declan Rice to Arsenal for a massive £105m ($137m), the Hammers are licking their lips again as the prospect of making another windfall grows brighter - this time with the sale of Kudus. There is significant interest from the Gunners and the Merseyside club for the Ghanaian and West Ham will look to milk the situation if they submit a formal request next summer, according to The Daily Mail.

The mammoth £85 million release clause is set to re-activate in the summer, which could make negotiations challenging for interested parties. This hefty fee may also complicate matters for clubs striving to remain within profit and sustainability regulations, as West Ham have little obligation to settle for less due to Kudus’ long-term contract until 2028.

While Kudus likes to ply his trade with West Ham, he harbours ambitions of playing in a Champions League club. Both Arsenal and Liverpool fall within this bracket, and the opportunity to compete in Europe’s elite competition could significantly sway his decision.

West Ham are struggling in the 14th position in the Premier League standings after a dismal start to their campaign having won just three times in 11 matches. They will be back in action against Newcastle at St.James' Park after the international break on November 25. Meanwhile, Arsenal and Liverpool will play against Nottingham Forest and Southampton on November 23 and 24 respectively.
