Viktor Gyokeres just can't be stopped! Man Utd target scores ANOTHER hat-trick for Sporting CP - but Ruben Amorim's former team suffer incredible collapse to draw in eight-goal thriller

Gyokeres has been heavily linked with a reunion with Ruben Amorim at Manchester United and he underlined his credentials as a world-class No.9 with a superb hat-trick for Sporting against Vitoria. His first was a superb poked finish beyond the goalkeeper, but Vitoria equalised soon after. Gyokeres scored again from the edge of the box after being sent beyond their backline, and he completed his hat-trick with a close-range finish after a smart move on the edge of the box.

With Sporting 3-1 up, they may have expected to coast home, but Vitoria fought back to 3-3 and then took a stunning lead, but a sensatinal 95th-minute finish from Francisco Trincao that curled in off the post earned Sporting a remarkable point. After his treble, Gyokeres has now scored 30 goals in 28 games in all competitions.

Reports have suggested that Amorim wants Gyokeres signed in January but United may have to offload both Joshua Zirkzee and Marcus Rashford if they are to afford him. He has a release clause of £80 million ($100m) and Sporting are expected to demand the entirety of that clause be paid.

Gyokeres will next be in action when Sporting play Porto in the semi-final of the Taca de Liga. United are likely to be watching closely.
