    The Serie A side are in Merseyside to play a pre-season friendly against Everton, and taking time out of their busy schedule, Dybala and Ranieri made their way to Anfield to pay their homage to Jota. Following the floral tribute, the group paused for a few minutes in silence, reflecting on Jota’s life and career.

    WHAT NEXT FOR LIVERPOOL?

    Jota’s name will be at the forefront of Liverpool’s return to competitive action. The Reds face Crystal Palace in the Community Shield at Wembley on Sunday, a match that will inevitably carry emotional weight for players and fans.
