USMNT star Christian Pulisic steals the show but Yunush Musah remains quiet as AC Milan bounce back from Dortmund disappointment with comfortable win over Frosinone

Milan returned to winning ways with a fairly comfortable victory at San Siro on Saturday night. After an even opening, which included Marvin Cuni spurning a glorious chance to give the visitors the lead, Luka Jovic scored his first goal for the Rossoneri since his summer move from Fiorentina with a volleyed finish two minutes before half time.

Pulisic then scored the goal of the game with a terrific solo run and finish in the 50th minute as goalkeeper Mike Maignan chalked up a rare assist. The game was put well and truly out of the away side's reach when Jovic's neat header across the six-yard box was tapped home by Fikayo Tomori 16 minutes from time, before Marco Brescianini's free-kick sailed past Maignan for a late consolation effort.

While Milan's chances of progressing to the knockout stages of the Champions League look slim, they are in the thick of a title race in Serie A. Tonight's win puts them within four points of leaders Juventus and three behind second-placed Inter Milan, although their bitter rivals have a game in hand. Manager Stefan Pioli will hope this result can be the springboard for more success going forward.

Pulisic was the man of the match at San Siro on Saturday. Arguably, he was one of the few positives from the 3-1 defeat to Dortmund in midweek and he seemed determined to move on from that setback with a dynamic display. His pace and driving runs caused the away side a number of problems, he was involved in the build-up for Milan's opener, and the American scored a classy goal, too. He received a warm ovation from the fans when he went off in the second half.

Musah, on the other hand, was not nearly as effective. He had a driving run into the box early on but his cross was easily dealt with. Later on in the first half, he was put through on goal but his effort cannoned off the post. While it would not have counted as he was offside, the 21-year-old is, arguably, yet to find his feet at the Italian giants and still awaits his debut goal. Conversely, Pulisic now has five to his name.

A really positive display where he led from the front. Was the pick of Milan's players and was a nuisance throughout.

Yunus Musah (6/10):

Was overshadowed by his compatriot Pulisic and struggled to make an impact on the game.

The American duo are likely to be back in first-team action against Atalanta in Serie A next weekend.
