WHAT HAPPENED?
Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur have announced Kraken as their first-ever official crypto and Web3 partner ahead of the 2024/25 season.
As part of the partnership, Kraken will also be the club's official sleeve partner for the men's and women's teams.
As part of the global partnership, Kraken hopes to continue to grow their presence in Europe. The crypto giant has entered a similar partnership with LaLiga giants Atletico Madrid already.
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Kraken is one of the largest UK-registered crypto platforms and have a 350 odd-strong local team and claim to have around 13 million clients globally.
As part of the partnership, Kraken will engage with the club's fanbase through exclusive content, fan pop-ups, and behind-the-scenes access to both Kraken and Tottenham Hotspur events.

As part of the partnership, Kraken will also become the official crypto and Web3 partner of F1 DRIVE - London. It is an immersive karting experience that sits below the Tottenham Hotspur stadium's iconic south stand.
Both the club and the brand aim to organise interactive competitions to engage and educate fans.
WHAT NEXT FOR SPURS?
Spurs, who finished fifth in the Premier League last season, will be looking to build on it and qualify for the Champions League this time around.
Led by Son Heung-min, the Lilywhites will hope to bring more consistency to their game which was sparkling in bits last season.
