    WHAT HAPPENED?

    United States international Trinity recently appeared on the ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast, with the somewhat strained relationship that she endures with basketball icon Dennis one of the topics up for discussion. She said: “He's not a dad. Maybe by blood, but nothing else.” Trinity also accused her father of messing with her head by attending games out of the blue, adding: “He did it so many times. I think he knows what he does.”

  • WHAT DENNIS RODMAN SAID

    Dennis Rodman, who was a team-mate of Michael Jordan at the Chicago Bulls during his colourful professional career, has now responded to the comments made by his daughter in a social media post. The enigmatic 63-year-old has said: “Sorry I wasn’t the dad you wanted me to be. Either way I still tried and I still try and never will stop. I will keep trying even when you’re being told as an adult not to respond to my phone calls. I will try even when it’s difficult and if it takes a long time.”

    Rodman added: “I’m always here and tell you all the time – [whether] it’s your voice or voicemail – how proud I am. I always had one wish and it was I wish my kids would call me and come see me. Hopefully one day I can get that. I’m here and I’m still trying pick up the phone you have my number. You see me calling, I’m still here.”

    He went on to say of still following Trinity’s exploits, even if his presence at matches is not always welcome: “FYI: I watch you play all the time (actually flew in to watch you play and was told not to show up bc who I was with) instead and me just wanting to support you. So I watched you from my hotel balcony just to make everybody happy. I love all my kids.”
