    WHAT HAPPENED?

Wrexham have already begun their United States pre-season tour as they took on Bournemouth in a 1-1 draw at Harder Stadium in California. Reynolds was not present in person but he did have a surprise set for McElhenney, as he sent the 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' actor a hand-drawn portrait of himself - the same Titanic-inspired one that he pranked his Wrexham business partner with on his last birthday.

  • WHAT MCELHENNEY SAID

McElhenney posted the photo on X, and wrote: "Had no idea this would be on the Wrexham summer tour. I truly cannot escape. Thanks, Ryan Reynolds and Vistaprint."

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

During the clash against Bournemouth, Wrexham held their own. The Red Dragons benefitted from a James Hill own-goal as they took the lead before Marco Senesi's header equalised for the Cherries. Wrexham will be hoping that their draw will mark the start of a good pre-season as they warm up for the start of their 2024-25 League One campaign.
