THE BIGGER PICTURE
United's struggles continued with the defeat to the Seagulls, leaving them languishing in the bottom half of the Premier League table. The loss has fuelled criticism of Amorim's tactics and the overall direction of the club under Sir Jim Ratcliffe. The Red Devils have just seven wins in the top flight this term.
DID YOU KNOW?
Following the defeat, Amorim referred to his side as being "the worst team maybe in the history of Manchester United." It was a scathing review and a damning reflection on their current position, which is worse than it ever was under previous managers including David Moyes, Louis van Gaal, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Erik ten Hag and Jose Mourinho.

WHAT NEXT FOR MAN UTD?
The aftermath of the dressing room news and the team's poor form will likely lead to more scrutiny for both Amorim and the United hierarchy. The club will need to find a way to address the team's shortcomings and turn their season around, starting in the Europa League against Rangers on Thursday.
