WHAT HAPPENED?
PSG has a famous face to its brand, with Durant to announce a small share of the club's ownership, according to multiple reports Monday. The club, which is primarily owned by Qatari Sports Investors (QSI), allowed American investment at the end of last year, selling 12.5 percent to Arctos Partners.
The current valuation of the club as a whole is €4.25 billion.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
This isn't Durant's first investment in sports. The NBA star has a five-percent stake in MLS side Philadelphia Union, and is a minority owner of reigning NWSL champions Gotham.
The Suns' forward expressed his admiration for the Parisian facilities after visiting the club's new training ground earlier this week in a club-sponsored video, saying "this is lovely. I'm grateful to be here."

WHAT NEXT FOR DURANT?
Although the deal is yet to be announced in full, it is expected to be revealed in the coming days - with the NBA star expanding his already rich sports portfolio.
For Durant, though, a long rest is deserved after he started every game for team USA at the Paris Olympics, leading them to a gold medal.
