  • Will now represent France in Euro 2024
  • Outgoing PSG forward 'clearly has no juice'
  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Paris Saint-Germain beat Lyon 2-1 to win another French Cup final in Mbappe's last game for the club. While the 25-year-old looked to have ended his spell with the Ligue 1 giants on a high, RMC Sport journalist Daniel Riolo felt he underwhelmed in Saturday's match and claimed that ahead of Euro 2024, the forward "clearly has no juice".

    WHAT DANIEL RIOLO SAID

Riolo said on RMC Sport after the game on Saturday: “It was Mbappe's last match and it was not successful, it was like his last outings. He is not at all in the right mood. A new life will open up for him, with the Euro anyway. The Mbappe for several weeks now is not an Mbappe who can take the French team very far.

"Will (France boss) [Didier] Deschamps' magical preparations work on him? But he has no juice, he clearly has no juice. He had lots of good intentions, I even found him with better intentions than usual in attitude but he has no juice. He went through the final quite anonymously."

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Mbappe is set to join Real Madrid this summer but before then, the French World Cup winner will hope to lead his nation to Euro 2024 glory in Germany. France are one of the favourites for the competition but if they are to win, they will likely need the former Monaco star to be on top form.
