'How about we celebrate the great signings?' - Mohamed Salah hits back at fan for 'disrespecting the champions' after Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak 'upgrade' claim

A fan took to X to claim that Wirtz and Isak, two of Liverpool's big-money signings in the summer, are huge upgrades over Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez, who have both departed Anfield. Diaz has joined Bayern Munich, while Nunez has joined Al-Hilal. 

Salah has taken aim at the post, which he believes is disrespectful to two of his former team-mates, both of whom played a key role in their Premier League title triumph. Nunez scored five goals last season in the top-flight, while Diaz netted 13, and also added seven assists. 

Salah wrote: "How about we celebrate the great signings without disrespecting the PL champions?"

Liverpool play Burnley after the international break, and Isak could make his debut.
