'We haven't won enough' - Mikel Arteta not content with Arsenal achievements so far as Gunners boss celebrates four years at Emirates Stadium

The Spanish manager arrived at the Emirates in December 2019 after working as Pep Guardiola’s assistant for three years. He replaced Unai Emery after the Gunners' worst run of form for 27 years. In his four years at the helm in north London, he won the FA Cup in the 2019-20 season and claimed the Community Shield in 2020 and 2023. Arteta wants more silverware as he wants to lift the "important things" like the Premier League and the Champions League.

When Arteta was asked if he was impressed with his record with Arsenal, he said: "'I'm sure I would (have taken that). But we still haven't won enough important things and we want to be better and more successful. (There are) A lot of things we have achieved together in those four years but that's nice for the people that have been in this journey with us together and the ones that are behind us as well."

Arteta could have conquered England in the previous season but for a slump at the business end of the campaign which saw Manchester City come back from a five-point deficit at the top to win the Premier League. In the ongoing season, Arteta has guided Arsenal back to the Champions League knockout stages after a seven-year hiatus from the prestigious competition and are currently first in the league standings, with a point ahead of Liverpool.

Arteta has the opportunity to extend the lead at the top by beating Jurgen Klopp's men at Anfield when the two sides meet each other in a blockbuster Premier League clash on Sunday.
