    According to The Athletic, the women’s team only learned of the cancellation after the news broke in the media which has led to frustration among the squad. Many players had already adjusted their plans, including changing pre-arranged holiday flights and bookings, to attend the dinner after their season concludes this Saturday. The late notice of the cancellation left several players feeling disrespected and undervalued.
