Man City FFP case: New date for verdict on 115 charges set as fears of 'undue damage to Premier League' grow

The hearing into Manchester City's 115 charges concluded in December 2024 and a verdict was initially expected in the spring of 2025. Club chiefs believe an outcome may finally be known by the time of the second international break of the 2025-26 campaign, which is scheduled for 4-18 October.

The outcome is still unknown and opinion is split among Premier League clubs when it comes to potential punishments for Manchester City. Some clubs are said to be willing to "push for an outright expulsion" if the club are found guilty, while others believe the delay in reaching a verdict is causing "undue damage to the Premier League" and would favour a punishment that allows "everyone to get on with it".
