Liverpool pre-season 2023: Tour, fixtures, results, tickets & how to watch

Liverpool's pre-season focuses heavily on German opposition with their opening two friendlies coming against 2. Bundesliga outfits Karlsruher and Greuther Furth in Germany. Goals were not in short supply, with the Reds winning the first game 4-2 and then drawing 4-4 with Greuther Furth in Bavaria four days later to conclude the Germany training camp.

The Reds then flew towards the Far East for a two-game trip to Singapore in late July/early August. They downed recently-relegated Leicester City 4-0 at Singapore's National Stadium on Sunday, July 30, before suffering their first defeat of pre-season as 20-year-old Frans Kratzig struck a stunning stoppage-time strike to secure a 4-3 win for Bayern Munich a couple of days later at the same venue.

The Reds will wrap up their pre-season with a clash against newly-promoted Bundesliga side Darmstadt 98 on Monday, August 7, at Preston North-End's Deepdale Stadium.

For the games against Leicester and Bayern Munich, there will be a pre-sale offer for LFC Official Members, season ticket holders, Official Liverpool Supporters Clubs and International Academies. Relevant parties will be contacted directly by the club.

In-house TV channel LFCTV and LFCTV GO will screen all games live, as in recent years.

Jurgen Klopp named his 32-man travelling squad for Liverpool's pre-season camp in Germany.

Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai arrived from Brighton and RB Leipzig respectively for a combined fee of around £95m to bolster the midfield deparment in the summer transfer window, and both players have unsurprisingly been included in Liverpool's pre-season tour as they look to hit the ground running straight-away.

Fabinho, who is closing in on a £40m move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad. Former club captain Jordan Henderson, who has joined Steven Gerrard's Saudi Pro League side Al Ettifaq, has left the travelling party in between the pre-season tour.

The rest of the squad is a familiar one, with Virgil van Dijk, Thiago, Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold all part of the Germany training camp.

The 2023-24 Premier League season is scheduled to begin on Saturday, August 12, 2023, and Liverpool will kick off their campaign against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on August 13, 2023.
