Following the conclusion of the match, the Herons celebrated their 2024 MLS Supporters' Shield triumph with their fans on the pitch at Chase Stadium.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino and club co-owner David Beckham joined majority owner Jorge Mas for a speech, where it was announced that Miami would be participating in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup as the final CONCACAF participant as a result of their regular season triumph.
"I have three things to tell you," Infantino said to the crowd. "The first, many congratulations for winning the Supporters' Shield. The second, you will be qualified for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. And third, you will be opening and hosting the opening game at the Hard Rock Stadium in front of 65,000 people!"
