Lamine Yamal loves English football! Barcelona wonderkid reveals admiration for Bukayo Saka & desire to play at Old Trafford or Anfield after joining Beats by Dre family

The La Masia academy graduate, who continues to break records and rewrite the history books at 17 years of age, has become the face of Spanish football after treading the same career path as eight-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi.

Barca are ready to tie him to a long-term contract once an 18th birthday is celebrated this summer, with interest from European rivals in the talented teenager being fended off. It remains to be seen how long Yamal spends in Catalunya.

His stock continues to rise, with Yamal emulating the likes of Messi, Erling Haaland and NBA superstar LeBron James by becoming a Beats by Dre ambassador. Speaking as part of that partnership, the youngster has lifted the lid on his Premier League interest.

Yamal said when asked who his favourite player outside of Barcelona is: "Right now, outside of Barca, I think [Ousmane] Dembele or Bukayo Saka are doing really well."

He went on to say of the stadiums that he would love to play at: "There are so many I’ve yet to experience, especially outside of Europe. In Europe, some of the iconic ones I'd like to play in are Old Trafford and Anfield."

Yamal is currently readying himself for another Clasico clash with arch-rivals Real Madrid and said of his favourite memories of meetings with the Blancos: "Well, there are a lot of historic ones, but now that I get to be part of it, I’d say the most recent Copa del Rey final. The way the match played out - and the fact that we won!"

Victory over Real would put Barcelona on the brink of La Liga title glory in 2024-25. They have seen their Champions League dreams dashed at the semi-final stage, but Yamal is expected to compete for that prize on a regular basis in the years to come while also pushing himself into contention for Ballon d’Or recognition.
