Juventus eyeing Felipe Anderson transfer as former West Ham midfielder sees Lazio contract extension demands knocked back

Anderson has been a pivotal player for Maurizio Sarri's side this season, featuring in all 18 of their Serie A fixtures so far. However, his days at Lazio might be numbered.

With his contract with Lazio set to expire at the end of the season, Juventus are exploring the prospect of signing the 30-year-old as a free agent, GOAL can confirm.

Lazio have presented an initial renewal offer to Anderson, which would see him stay at the Stadio Olimpico until 2028 with a salary of €3.5 million (£3m/$3.82m) net per season. However, the offer falls short of the former West Ham midfielder's €4m (£3.5m/$4.37m) demands. While the Bianconeri are yet to make a formal move for Anderson, they are actively monitoring the situation and evaluating the possibility of acquiring him without incurring any transfer fees.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Juventus have met with Anderson's agent on a couple of occasions to understand what it would take to bring the player to Turin. The club's sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is an admirer of the Brazil international and would be eager to tie him to a pre-contract agreement, making the most of his extension talks with Lazio.

Anderson has already made 25 appearances this campaign, racking up more than 1700 minutes for Lazio. He also has six assists and one goal to his name, and will be eager to add to his tally when Sarri's side make a trip to Udinese on Sunday.
