'Rip it up!' - James McClean sends rousing message to Paul Mullin as Wrexham legend bids farewell to Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's side

Wrexham confirmed on Monday that Mullin has joined Wigan Athletic on loan ahead of the 2025/26 season. The striker scored a staggering 110 goals in 172 games for the Welsh club and played a key role in the Red Dragons' rise from the National League to the Championship.

As Mullin's departure was confirmed, Irish winger McClean took to Instagram to send a rousing message to his colleague. In his story, McClean wrote: "All the best mate @paulmullin12. Rip it up."

Mullin, who spent four years at the Welsh club, shared a short yet emotional farewell note as he wrote: "All the very best to everyone at Wrexham this season, keep the train rolling."

After a successful journey with Wrexham, the 30-year-old forward will aim to fire Wigan back into the Championship. The club finished 15th last season in League One.
