USMNT star Gio Reyna has received a potential Borussia Dortmund lifeline after boss Edin Terzic is rumored for a promotion to Sporting Director.

WHAT HAPPENED?
According to BILD, the German club see Terzic's success over recent summer transfers as a potential way to integrate him into the club even further. Fullback Ramy Bensebaini, striker Niclas Fullkrug and midfielders Marcel Sabitzer and Felix Nmecha were all brought in under the Dortmund boss, and have successfully all worked their way into the starting XI. Now, Terzic is being looked at as a possible successor to their Sporting Director position.
Reyna has made nine appearances for Dortmund this campaign, but has failed to find the back of the net or contribute an assist yet. Since 2019, he has 17 goals in 109 appearances for the club.

The club are back in action on Wednesday against PSG in the UEFA Champions League. The club have already confirmed their spot in the knockout stages of the tournament come the new year, but with a win against the Parisian side, they could shake up the standings - potentially allowing AC Milan and Christian Pulisic a path through to the next stage as well.
