Van de Beek on loan from Man United
Midfielder hooked at half-time after poor performance
Frankfurt have option to purchase Dutchman
WHAT HAPPENED?
Van de Beek's feeble start to life at Eintracht Frankfurt continued on Friday as he was substituted at half-time having been unable to impose himself on the game. Since joining on loan from United, Van de Beek has started two of the Bundesliga side's three games but offered little to suggest he will continue to start. The Dutchman was replaced by Fares Chaibi and Frankfurt went on to win the game 1-0.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
If Van de Beek expected his troubles to disappear as soon as he departed United, he may be disappointed. However, the midfielder must be cut some slack as, having not played a single minute of Premier League football since on loan at Everton last season, he will still be coming up to speed with regards match fitness. However, with his loan lasting just until the end of the season, he will have to improve if the move is to be made permanent.
DID YOU KNOW?
Van de Beek made just one appearance for United this season - playing 19 minutes off the bench in the Carabao Cup against Crystal Palace. Van de Beek replaced Hannibal Mejri - another United player having loan troubles of his own.
