Dean Huijsen reveals he has exit clause in Bournemouth contract and drops big hint on his future amid interest from Real Madrid, Liverpool and Bayern

The Dutch-Spanish defender made headlines last summer after sealing a move to Bournemouth from Juventus in a transfer that could eventually reach €18 million (£15 million). Despite the pressure of adapting to a new league and environment, the 19-year-old has been a standout performer for the Cherries, featuring in 25 Premier League games this season.

Huijsen's performances have not gone unnoticed, with several European heavyweights keeping tabs on his development. Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, and Liverpool are all reportedly interested, and with a £50 million release clause set to become active this summer, speculation around his next move is intensifying.

During an interview with El Chiringuito TV, Huijsen discussed the details of his contract, which currently runs until 2030 and has an exit clause.

"I have a contract until 2030, [but] I do have a [release] clause,” he stated, acknowledging the exit route that could be triggered.

When asked specifically about the prospect of donning the famous white jersey of Real Madrid, Huijsen was diplomatic but didn’t rule out the idea. “I don't know, we'll see. It's a big team. Every player wants to play in the maximum [level] possible,” he replied.

The defender added: "A friend called me and said...'Go to Real Madrid'. I laughed. What am I going to say?"

Huijsen also reflected on the players and figures who have inspired him. One name stood out — former Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos.

"Sergio Ramos has been my idol since I was little," he admitted.

That admiration for Real Madrid legends doesn’t stop there. The Bournemouth starlet also praised current Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti. “He's a very good manager. He's not at Real Madrid for nothing. He deserves credit,” Huijsen noted.

Real Madrid are currently in need of reinforcements at the back. Injuries to key defenders Éder Militao and David Alaba — both of whom have suffered ACL setbacks this season — have left Carlo Ancelotti short of experienced options. As a result, academy graduate Raúl Asencio has been forced to step in alongside seasoned centre-back Antonio Rudiger. This lack of depth has prompted Los Blancos to look toward young, promising defenders ahead of the transfer window, with Huijsen emerging as a strong candidate.
