    WHAT HAPPENED?

    Real Madrid grabbed a sensational late win after their setback in the Supercopa de Espana final against Barcelona, as they thrashed Celta Vigo 5-2 in the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey. There was a controversial moment during the build-up to Kylian Mbappe's opening goal as many believed Celta were robbed of a penalty the move before the deadlock was broken.

    Atletico boss Simeone was not pleased with this decision and later told reporters: "I didn’t watch yesterday’s game. They told me episodes that happened as have been going on for a hundred years. I don’t know what surprises you."
