Brighton have been tracking the centre-back, according to reports in Africa, but Fotboll Direkt reports that Palace, Fulham and Championship leaders Sheffield United all have an advantage over the Seagulls in the race to land him. Union Berlin and Freiburg are also in contention to sign the 24-year-old.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The report adds that Elfsborg are hoping to receive a transfer fee of around £6 million for the Ghana international, who joined the club from Finnish side Seinajoki just over a year ago. Yegbe was a key player as Elfsborg navigated four qualifying rounds to reach the group stage of the Europa League. He also featured in all eight matches as they picked up wins against Roma, Qarabag and Nice but were sent crashing out of the competition with defeats to Tottenham, Galatasaray, Athletic Club and AZ.
DID YOU KNOW?
Yegbe made his first senior appearance for Ghana in November when he started in a defeat to Niger. He was left out of the squad altogether as they beat Chad and Madagascar in March.
