Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou responds to claims Cristian Romero suffered with 'tiredness' in Arsenal loss after being forced to return from international duty on commercial flight
Tottenham Hotspur suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat at the hands of arch-rivals Arsenal on Sunday in the season's first North London derby as Gabriel Magalhaes netted the winner for the Gunners. Centre-back Cristian Romeo was at fault as he was easily shrugged off by the Brazilian before he converted a clinical header.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
After the game, The Sun reported that the Argentine defender reposted on social media a claim from Argentine reporter Gaston Edul that the player was tired in the derby clash as he had landed just five days before the all-important match from international duty after Spurs did not provide a private jet. Postecoglou, however, has now claimed that he had no information about Romero's fatigue before the game.
WHAT ANGE POSTECOGLOU SAID
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, the Spurs manager said, "It wasn’t mentioned to me before the game. I knew nothing about it. The players got back on Thursday and we had a Sunday game. No one reported anything other than the usual checks of people coming back from international duty so prior to the game - no one said anything."
