ISL 2017-18: Jamshedpur FC announce signing of midfielder Wellington Priori

Indian Super League (ISL) outfit Jamshedpur FC have completed the signing of Brazilian defensive midfielder Wellington Priori.

The Men of Steel have roped in their seventh foreign player but will have to wait until January 15th, 2018, before Wellington Priori can take to the field. As the midfielder was under contract at Thailand's Pattaya United until recently, he can be registered with the team only on January 15th when the transfer window officially opens in India.

The news was revealed by Head Coach Steve Coppell at the pre-match press conference before Jamshedpur's match against Mumbai City on Friday.

The 27-year-old is no stranger to India, having plied his trade for NorthEast United during the 2016 ISL season when he made 12 appearances for the Highlanders.

He joined Pattaya United in 2017 and made more than 25 appearances for them before opting to link up with Steve Coppell at Jamshedpur FC.

Wellington Priori adds further steel to an outfit which already has two very good defensive midfielders in Mehtab Hossain and Memo.
