Ben Khalfallah slams Brisbane Roar teammates after loss to Sydney FC

Brisbane Roar attacker Fahid Ben Khalfallah has criticised his teammates following their 3-0 defeat to Sydney FC at Suncorp Stadium on Monday night.

It was John Aloisi's side fourth consecutive loss at home and the result leaves them four points behind sixth-placed Western Sydney Wanderers, who have two games in hand.

Ben Khalfallah called on the Roar players to take a look at themselves and lift their work-rate in a bid to turn their struggling A-League season around.

"We have to look in the mirror because that's not good enough. It's ridiculous," Ben Khalfallah told Fox Sports post-match.

"It's just the players - we have to do more. The staff, everyone (else) is amazing.

"We lost at home last week, we lose again and I'm done with that. We can't accept that. We have to work harder.

"We have good players and great staff but that's not enough unfortunately."

It doesn't get any easier for the Roar as they travel south to meet the high-flying Newcastle Jets at McDonald Jones Stadium on Friday night.
