Former Mamelodi Sundowns winger has finally shed light on the primary motivations behind his high-profile move to Tanzanian giants. The creative attacker opted for a fresh challenge in East Africa despite significant interest from heavyweights in the Betway Premiership and abroad.

Tanzanian giants have touched down in South Africa for an intensive 10-day training camp designed to push the squad to its absolute limits. The former Stellenbosch head coach is determined to use this period in Polokwane to fine-tune his tactical approach before a season-defining run of fixtures.

The Bafana Bafana centre-back has highlighted the emotional impact of the departure and the huge void left behind by the Namibian striker. After trading Chloorkop for a high-profile move to Tanzanian giants Young Africans, the striker leaves behind more than just his goals, with his presence in the Masandawana changeroom set to be sorely missed. Nevertheless, the 31-year-old defender remains confident that the PSL’s all-time top scorer will continue to thrive in the next chapter of his career.

Yanga beat continental heavyweights like Rhulani Mokwena's Pyramids FC and Nasreddine Nabi's Raja Casablanca to the Namibian marksman's signature. And now, the 32-year-old former Mamelodi Sundowns striker has opened up on his decision by comparing his move to that of the global Portuguese icon when he left Real Madrid for Serie A.
