The Soweto giants visited the Namibian side in Botswana in the CAF Champions League second preliminary round. The Sea Robbers secured a hard-fought win with a strike from a Bafana Bafana star.

The Soweto giants made the trip to Zambia for the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary round, but returned home with a narrow defeat despite deploying a notably defence-heavy line up. Fernando Da Cruz’s tactical approach failed to deliver the desired result, leaving Amakhosi with work to do as they look to turn the tie around in the second leg on home soil.

Amakhosi are facing intense scrutiny following the early success of the playmaker at Chloorkop, with former club star David Kannemeyer labeling his release a mistake. The 29-year-old has already secured silverware with the Brazilians while his former side struggles for depth in the middle of the park.

The Sea Robbers' head coach has heaped praise on the 35-year-old defender, labeling the veteran versatile star an 'African legend' as the Buccaneers prepare for a crucial continental showdown. The Namibian international is set for an emotional reunion as the Soweto giants look to secure their spot in the group stages.
