Additionally, the Burundian believes the Glamour Boys deserved to win over their Angolan rivals.
"It was a good performance overall, and we deserved to win and even finish the game early. We had the opportunities to score and kill the game; unfortunately, we went to the penalties," he added.
"Before the game, we spoke about staying mentally strong until the very end. The success is for the players; they have done everything they could on the pitch. Kudos to everyone.
"In the second half, I feel that we did not have patience, and we were a little bit nervous. There were some moments and situations that killed the flow of the game, but everyone did everything they could, and we are happy to go to the next stage," he continued.
"We could have made the game a little easier if we had dealt with the first leg, but it is a lesson that we are taking. We need to play away with courage and belief, and even to score in away games."
