World Cup Group F Winner Odds & Betting Tips

Group F includes Belgium, Croatia, Canada, and Morocco. This will be a fascinating group as we have both runner-ups from the previous World Cup (Croatia and Belgium).

Belgium is the heavy favorite to win this group, but the battle for second place will be close. Croatia is currently the best bet to qualify for the knockout stage, but it would be foolish to rule out Canada.

The Canadians finished at the top of the CONCACAF World Cup qualifying table and will be looking to win their first ever World Cup match.

Morocco cannot be ruled out either, as they recently made a quarterfinal run in the African Cup of Nations before falling to Egypt in extra time. They have a lot of young talent on their squad and will be a tough out for the other teams in this group.

Group F’s final standings could come down to the last matchday. Let's dive into Group F odds to determine the best bets.

World Cup Group F Winner Odds

-Belgium (-200)

-Croatia (+275)

-Morocco (+900)

-Canada (+1100)

Betting odds are current as of July 29, 2022, from BetMGM Sportsbook.

Belgium is the clear-cut favorite to win this group, which is not surprising. The Red Devils have some of the best players in the world, but their form will be the biggest question leading up to the World Cup.

Croatia easily qualified for the tournament, but did so without facing stiff competition. The Vatreni were an entertaining dark horse to root for in the previous World Cup, but are unlikely to make a similar run this year.

Morocco and Canada are underdogs who could cause issues for Belgium and the Croatians. Each nation was impressive during their World Cup qualifying and recent tournaments.

World Cup Group F Preview

Belgium (-200)

Belgium has been a disappointment in international tournaments for the past decade. The “golden” era of Belgian football is ending, and they have no World Cups or European Championships to show for it.

The Red Devils did not look sharp in recent UEFA Nations League matches. However, it would not be a surprise if the Belgians make a serious run in the World Cup.

Belgium's roster is headlined by arguably the best midfielder in the world, Kevin De Bruyne, and their attack will be tough to contain.

Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois had a fantastic Champions League season in 2021-2022, and will be a crucial part of the Belgian squad given that their weakness is the backline.

The deciding factor for the Red Devils may be the form of striker Romelu Lukaku. The 29-year-old had an underwhelming season at Chelsea last year but is now back with Inter Milan, where he excelled.

The World Cup cuts in the middle of the domestic seasons, so if Lukaku comes into this tournament in top form, then sky’s the limit for this team.

Croatia (+275)

The Croatians will look to repeat their 2018 World Cup glory, but it will be a challenging task.

The best player from their previous World Cup, Luka Modrić, is now 36 years old and will be 37 by the time the tournament kicks off.

New Tottenham Hotspur winger Ivan Perišić will be an essential part of this squad once again, alongside some of the team's younger members.

Nikola Vlašić and Mario Pašalić will be the youth legs this team desperately needs to make another long run in the World Cup.

Croatia stumbled in the last European Championships and got off to a shaky start in their World Cup qualifying campaign. However, they did finish strong, but in a weak group.

Canada and Morocco will push the Croatians, and we could see an early exit for the Vatreni this year.

Morocco (+900)

Morocco had a good showing in the African Cup of Nations tournament but steamrolled their competition during World Cup qualifying.

They did not lose a single group game and defeated Congo 5-2 on aggregate to qualify for the tournament.

Star right back Achraf Hakimi, who plays for PSG domestically, will be the most important player for the Moroccans in the tournament. He can attack the right-hand side of the field with speed to come back on defense which makes him extremely dangerous.

Youssef En-Nesyri will be the leading man up top for the team and will be on the finishing end of the crosses Hakimi will provide.

Hakim Ziyech will return to Morocco after quitting the national team last year. The midfield is the most significant question mark on the Moroccan side and will have to capitalize on counterattacks.

A poor midfield might cause issues against possession-controlling teams such as Croatia, but they will be dangerous on the counter.

Canada (+1100)

The oddsmakers are not respecting the CONCACAF World Cup qualifying champions, and the Canadians will use that as extra motivation.

This is only their second World Cup after they failed to win a single game in the 1986 edition of the tournament.

Canada is a highly disciplined team and will be tough to score against. They only conceded seven goals during qualifying.

The leading man for the Canadians is defender/wing-back Alphonso Davies, who will serve crosses into the box from the left-hand side throughout the tournament.

Cyle Larin and Jonathan David are two young strikers attracting interest during the summer transfer window, and are names to watch in the tournament.

Along with their exciting young talent and discipline, Canada could be the surprise team in this year’s World Cup.

Belgium (-200) at BetMGM Sportsbook

This is a bet not to overthink even though the group is more challenging than it looks. Belgium is ranked number two in the FIFA World Rankings, right behind Brazil but does not garner the same level of respect because of their lack of performance on the big stage.

Unfortunately, this could be the last opportunity for Belgium to put it all together with this current team.

As mentioned earlier, the form and fitness of their star players will be the most important factor for the team because we all know they have the talent to go far.

Robert Martinez is a good manager and will have the team ready to play this winter. Back the Red Devils to advance to the knockout stage, where their tournament will begin.

Canada to Qualify (+250) at BetMGM Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

It is time to ride the wave with this Canada squad. They are entering the tournament with a lot of hype, but it is warranted. They have the young talent in an attack that will cause issues for opposing backlines, and they are a very disciplined defensive side.

They lack the experience at international level, but this is a new era of Canadian football that will extend into 2026 when they are the co-hosts of the tournament.

Their first tournament game is against Belgium, so we will get a good look at how well they can compete. At the same time, they get their most challenging match out of the way early, and the final group stage match against Morocco might decide who advances to the knockout stage.
