Former England captain Terry has struggled for minutes at Stamford Bridge this season, with Antonio Conte sticking with Cesar Azpilicueta, David Luiz and Gary Cahill as his back three for much of the campaign.
And with the Blues skipper out of contract this summer, it is looking increasingly likely this will be his final season with his boyhood club.
Pulis, however, could offer him the chance to remain in the Premier League after enquiring about the centre-back's situation in the January transfer window.
"The situation with John is that, from what I could gather in January, he wanted to stay with Chelsea," Pulis told reporters.
"He wanted to be there and stay there and be part of going out as a champion. I’m not sure how many times he’s won it with them but I think John wanted to stay there.
"If he becomes available in the summer we’ll sit down and have a little think about what we’ve got and what we haven’t got and we’ll take it from there.
"There was no approach made, it was just about finding out what the situation was and the situation was that John wanted to stay at Chelsea.
"That is for the summer, not now, and whether the situation changes, whether other people are involved or whether he signs another contract at Chelsea. We’ll have to wait and see."
