Fermín López rescued Barcelona from going into the break behind against Atlético Madrid, firing home the equaliser in the 43rd minute to make it 1-1 at half-time in this Matchday 12 clash in La Liga.
Atlético had dominated the first half, but Barcelona levelled in the dying moments. Pedri drove down the wing and his run ended at the edge of the box, where the rebound fell to Fermín. Marc Bernal couldn't reach it, so the midfielder lashed it in with his left foot.
The goal meant something extra to Fermín. He celebrates Barcelona goals by beating his chest in tribute to the club he supports, and now he's the man who dragged the Catalans back into the contest.
That strike took the attacking midfielder to seven goals this season, six of them in La Liga. He's already found the net twice against Elche, plus once each against Athletic Bilbao, Valencia and Alavés in the last round.
