According to a report from Bild, the five-time German champions have now blocked any move away for the 25-year-old. The reason is the injury to Nikolas Nartey. Nartey went off after nine minutes with thigh problems in their competitive opener against Hansa Rostock in the DFB Cup last Friday, a 4-0 win, and Vagnoman replaced him.
During pre-season, the 26-year-old Dane had played his way into the right-back spot in VfB's back four. In the process, he had to some extent pushed aside Vagnoman, who had still been Stuttgart's first-choice right-back last season.
With Nartey impressing in the friendlies in an unfamiliar role, and VfB also carrying another right-back in the currently injured Lorenz Assignon, Vagnoman had long been seen as a candidate to leave.

Over recent weeks, the quick and physically strong defender is said to have attracted repeated enquiries. Premier League newcomers Hull City approached VfB over a loan deal, while a permanent transfer was also discussed. That now appears to be off the table. For the time being, the Swabians are once again planning with Vagnoman as their number one right-back, although they are ruling out a panic buy in that position.
After largely strong performances last season, Vagnoman was at one stage considered a candidate for a World Cup call-up. Former Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann ultimately decided against it, however, and did not include the 25-year-old in the final DFB squad.
