Inter Milan have confirmed the signing of one of Liverpool's prominent players in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Inter said, in an official statement: "The club officially announces the signing of Curtis Jones from Liverpool for 30 million euros, plus an additional 5 million euros, with a clause granting Liverpool a percentage of the player's future resale value."
Jones becomes the third member of England's 2026 World Cup squad to join Inter this summer, following John Stones, who arrived on a free transfer, and Tottenham Hotspur full-back Djed Spence.
The deal took several months to complete. Liverpool held firm on their demand for at least 40 million euros, even with the player's contract set to expire at the end of the season.
In the end, the Reds accepted 30 million euros plus 5 million euros in add-ons, along with 10% of the value of any future sale.
Jones flew in from Liverpool last night and completed his medical today before signing a contract with Inter running until June 2031.
Inter had chased Jones since last year and tried to sign him in the winter window, only to see their approach rejected.
One of the few Liverpool-born players left in the squad, the 25-year-old spent his entire career at the club after coming through the youth academy.
Jones has played 6 international matches for England and scored one goal.
