Antonio Valencia has reached 200 Premier League appearances for Manchester United in their away date at Middlesbrough.

The Ecuador international joined the Red Devils in the summer of 2009 from Wigan and has enjoyed a regular role under a number of different bosses.

Valencia: I feel 21 years old

Sir Alex Ferguson brought him to Old Trafford, but David Moyes, Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho have been just as taken with his talents.

Valencia has brought an energy and dynamism to the right flank throughout his time in England, be that as a winger or at full-back.

He has now reached a notable landmark with United, and will be hoping that there are many more outings and successes to come.

Valencia saw a 12-month option on his contract taken up in January, taking him through to the summer of 2018.

He has also expressed a desire to stay on past that point, with the 31-year-old telling Inside United that he sees age as no barrier.

Mou is right - TV scheduling is ridiculous

"I’ve changed in a lot of ways but with my willingness to keep on training hard, my hunger to keep on improving and my desire to want to remain here at United, I feel like I’m still just 21 years old,” he said.

"I’m thankful to this great institution [the club] which has given me the chance to fulfil my dreams. And, of course, I’ll continue to fight hard to remain here for a bit longer!"
