    Werder sign Friedl from Bayern

    Werder Bremen have confirmed the permanent transfer of defender Marco Friedl from Bayern Munich. 

    The 21-year-old has spent the past 18 months on loan with Bremen, where he has made 16 Bundesliga appearances and played twice in the DFB-Pokal.

    Schalke want to bring Kolasinac back

    Schalke are looking to bring defender Sead Kolasinac back to the club from Arsenal, reports Bild.

    The 25-year-old left Schalke on a free transfer in 2017 to join the Gunners, and has established himself as a regular at the Emirates Stadium. 

    But due to Schalke's slim transfer budget, the club are aware that bringing Kolasinac back may be a pipe dream.

    Di Lorenzo set for Napoli medical

    Empoli wingback Giovanni Di Lorenzo is set for a medical with Napoli, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

    The 25-year-old impressed for Empoli this season, scoring five goals in 37 Serie A appearances, but was unable to prevent the club from being relegated. 

    And Napoli are set to take advantage in a deal reported to be worth around €10 million (£9m/$11m).

    Roma have up to six manager options

    Roma are looking at up to six options in their managerial search, Calciomercato reports. 

    Claudio Ranieri has left the club after joining on an interim basis, with Roma having fallen short of a Champions League spot for next season.

    Shakhtar Donetsk manager Paulo Fonseca is at the top of Roma's wish list, but Sassuolo's Robert de Zerbi, Rafael Benitez of Newcastle, Sampdoria's Marco Giampaolo and recently sacked Milan manager Rino Gattuso are also in the mix.

    Well here's a fun one. According to betting markets, Newcastle are third-favourites to sign Kylian Mbappe this summer. 

    The reason? The Magpies are rumoured to be in takeover talks with Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed al Nahyan, a cousin of Manchester City's owners.

    Manchester City forward Patrick Roberts will join Norwich on a season-long loan, claims The Sun. 

    The 22-year-old spent the past season on loan at La Liga side Girona after spending three seasons on loan with Celtic. 

    Roberts is now set to become Norwich's first signing since the club achieved promotion to the Premier League.

    Tottenham are eyeing a summer move for Leicester midfielder James Maddison, according to the Mirror.

    The 22-year-old impressed in his first season with the Foxes, scoring seven goals and addding seven assists.

    Leicester paid £23 million ($29m) to sign Maddison from Norwich last summer and would want significantly more to sell their prized asset.

    Michael Owen doesn’t think that Manchester United can overhaul their squad in just one transfer window, but backed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to promote young players to boost his side’s fortunes.

    Many have been calling for a clear-out at Old Trafford this summer but the ex-United, Liverpool and Real Madrid forward doesn’t believe it’s possible for United to extract value for players if they try to offload too many.

    He did say he sees some hopes of recovery for United under Solskjaer, but admitted he also saw a regression.

    Arsenal target RB Leipzig defender

    Arsenal want to sign centre-back Dayot Upamecano from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig, ESPN are reporting.

    Leipzig are trying to secure the 20-year-old on new terms beyond 2021, but could cash in if Upamecano decides he wants to leave.

    Arsenal will be a more attractive proposition if they qualify for the Champions League by beating Chelsea in the Europa League final on Wednesday night.

    Huddersfield want Man United and Arsenal target

    Huddersfield want to sign Ipswich defender Dylan Crowe, who is also being chased by Manchester United and Arsenal. 

    Ipswich have already turned down a bid of £300,000 from the Terriers for the England under-18 defender, according to The Sun

    But Huddersfield, who finished bottom of the Premier League last season, are reportedly close to a deal for the Tractor Boys youngster. 

    Crowe has also been linked with Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.

    Antonio Conte may not have even been confirmed as the new Inter boss yet, but he has already outlined his first signing.

    ESPN are reporting that the former Chelsea boss will try and bring Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku to Serie A this summer - a player he attempted to sign while at Stamford Bridge.

    Failing that, Conte could turn to Roma forward Edin Dzeko, another player who was linked with a move to Chelsea during the Italian’s tenure as boss.

    Atletico could make surprise swoop for Chilwell

    La Liga giants Atletico Madrid could make a shock move to sign Ben Chilwell, according to AS.

    The Leicester man is being linked with an €80 million (£71m) move to the Wanda Metropolitano to act as a direct replacement for Lucas Hernandez and Felipe Luis, both of whom are set to the depart the club this summer.

    However, Atletico are likely to meet resistance from Manchester City, who are also keen on the England international.
