Harry Kane has addressed his chances of winning the Ballon d'Or, insisting his focus is on adding more titles with Bayern Munich after the striker helped the Bavarians lift the German Super Cup.
Bayern beat Borussia Dortmund 2-1 to claim the trophy, another line on a CV that has swelled in recent times. Kane has collected the Golden Boot, the Bundesliga, the German Cup and now the German Super Cup, all alongside the six goals he scored at the World Cup as England finished third.
No Bayern player has won the Ballon d'Or since Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, and the England captain played it down when Marca asked him about the prospect. "A new season has begun, and it is nice to start it by winning a cup like the Super Cup. It is true that last season was the best of my career, but I am now focused on the new season."

"We have to fight for all the titles again, including the Champions League," he added. "The Super Cup is the first of four titles we will fight for, and I hope we continue on this path."
Kane played the entire final without hitting the heights his supporters have come to expect. He failed to find the net. Even so, his record with Bayern remains staggering: 146 goals in 148 appearances, and he now readies himself for a fourth season at the club.
On his contract situation, the forward struck a relaxed tone. "We will talk this week and next week. We will have an open discussion, and we are not in a hurry or feeling panicked."
He concluded: "My full focus is on Bayern Munich and the new season, and the negotiations will take place behind the scenes."
