Hazard finally breaks Premier League drought with double at Bournemouth

Eden Hazard's decline in form has been one of the season's biggest stories, but the Chelsea man finally had something to celebrate at Bournemouth on Saturday.

Having returned from an injury layoff, the Belgian put the Blues 2-0 up at the Vitality Stadium and in turn found the net for the first time in the Premier League for 356 days.

Not content with just one, Hazard grabbed another goal late on as Chelsea went on to win the game 4-1.

The last time Hazard found the net in the league came on May 3, 2015 – the day Chelsea secured the Premier League title. The Belgian's goal that day against Crystal Palace ensured a 1-0 victory at Stamford Bridge.

But it has taken almost a year for the former Lille man to repeat the trick, with his strike coming on the eve of his successor as PFA Player of the Year will be announced.

As speculation remains regarding his future, the double could yet prove to be Hazard's final goals in a Chelsea shirt, but the nightmare scenario of going a full season without finding the net is at least no longer possible.
