Las Palmas v Valencia Betting: Closely matched sides could end all square

The hosts are tough to beat at home but the visitors have hit some form, and we are backing a tight game to end in a draw at the Estadio Gran Canaria

Monday evening sees Valencia hoping to continue their mini revival, which has seen them win their last two games and put some much needed breathing space between them and the relegation zone.

With club delegate Voro in charge until the end of the season, Los Che recorded a hugely impressive 2-0 victory at Villarreal last time out, managing a clean sheet away from home for the first time since September 2015.

Valencia have another tough looking away game on Monday, as they visit the Estadio Gran Canaria, where Las Palmas are unbeaten in La Liga in 14 matches. Real Madrid were the last team to win a league match in Las Palmas back in March 2016, and while Quique Setien's men are not in the best of form (one win in six matches) they remain tough to beat at home.

That is reflected in the odds, where the match prices suggest these teams could be tough to split over the course of 90 minutes. Betfair offer a win for the Canary Islanders at 6/4 (2.50) while Valencia can be backed at 9/5 (2.80) and the draw is offered at 23/10 (3.30)

If Valencia have been struggling to win games this season, they have been able to score, with the side finding the back of the net in all but two of their 18 league games. Both teams to score has paid out in 15 of Valencia's 18 fixtures in La Liga this term and is offered at the understandably short price of 6/10 (1.60), which may prove a little short for some punters to get involved with as a single wager.

Instead, we should consider the price for the match finishing all square, with Las Palmas turning into draw specialists of late. Indeed, no side has drawn more home matches than the Gran Canaria outfit, with five out of the last eight league games at this venue ending as stalemates.

Valencia will be happy not to lose, while Las Palmas are difficult to break down at home, although lacking a little spark of late. A draw would perhaps suit both teams and the price should offer punters decent value.

Draw at 23/10 (3.30) for a 1pt stake with Betfair Sportsbook
