Parkinson shares Wrexham illness plan
Paul Mullin sat out Swindon win
Illness has affected a few players
WHAT HAPPENED?
With Wrexham flying high in League Two, the last thing manager Phil Parkinson and owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney wanted was for illness to sweep through the squad. With Paul Mullin unable to come off the bench on Boxing Day after struggling with illness, Wrexham took precautions.

WHAT PARKINSON SAID
Parkinson explained the precautions the club are taking. After his side won 1-0 at Swindon Town on Boxing Day, the manager said: "We have got to have a head count now because there is a bit of illness in the camp and we just need to get everybody back up the road. We will get a car to take a couple of the ones who are ill back so they are not on the coach spreading it and get the rest in the camp in the best condition for the Walsall game."

THE BIGGER PICTURE
James McClean stepped up in Mullin's absence to score the only goal of the game in Swindon. The win sent the Red Dragons up to second in the table, just four points behind leaders Stockport having played a game less.
