    During the November international break, Mendy got his first-ever minutes for his national side when they lost 2-0 to Ivory Coast in the World Cup qualifier. As a result of his debut, his name was placed on the board to honour his achievement.

    In November, after his debut, Mendy sent out a message to fans on Instagram: "Still processing it! Just wanted to thank everyone for the support and the messages I’ve received and I’m still receiving. Really appreciate it. Hungry for more"

    Mendy has been one of the key players for the Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney-owned club as they got promoted from the National League to League Two earlier this year. He has been pivotal yet again as the Red Dragons sit third in the table looking for their second straight promotion.
