'Class act!' - Wrexham fans thrilled as 'legend' aims brutal 'bin juice' dig after huge win for Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's side

Wrexham returned to winning ways in some style on Saturday, beating Exeter City 3-0 in League One to move into second place in the table. Burton enjoyed a clean sheet on his home debut for the Red Dragons after coming into the starting XI as first choice stopper Arthur Okonkwo has been ruled out with a fractured wrist.

Burton has shone since coming into the team at Wrexham. Manager Phil Parkinson was full of praise for his goalkeeper for an "excellent display" in his team's 1-0 defeat to leaders Stockport and he has now followed that up with a clean sheet against Exeter. The victory will mean even more to Burton as he spent three years down in Devon at Plymouth Argyle before signing for Wrexham, and has made it clear he thoroughly enjoyed seeing off the Pilgrims' local rivals.

He posted on X: "Home debut, 3 points and clean sheet. Always enjoy beating the bin juice of Devon as well."

His comments went down well with Wrexham fans with one supporter calling him "legend" and another adding "class act!"

Burton will enjoy another outing at the SToK Cae Ras on Tuesday as Wrexham return to action in League One against Lincoln City.
