  • WHAT HAPPENED?

With the teams tied at 0-0 when Nunez was substituted on, Forest fans could be heard chanting: "You're just a sh*t Andy Carroll" at the Uruguayan striker, comparing him to the English striker who flopped at Anfield. However, Nunez went on to silence the home support when he headed in a 99th minute winner in the Premier League clash.

    WHAT KLOPP SAID

Asked for his thoughts on the Forest fans' taunts towards Nunez, Klopp said: "I would not sing a song like that. I would not try to wind Darwin up."

Nunez headed in the winner after a diagonal ball into the box from Alexis Mac Allister, and Klopp gave his thoughts on the goal, saying: "In the 98th minute, Macca had a good idea... so did Darwin. Really cool afternoon for us."

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Nunez's goal - the latest match-winner scored by a Liverpool player in the Premier League since records began - may prove crucial in the Premier League title race. The Reds were a point ahead of Manchester City heading into the match and a draw would have given the reigning champions the opportunity to overtake them on Sunday. Thanks to the last-gasp heroics, however, the Reds now have some breathing space.
