When does the Saudi Pro League transfer window close?

    Transfer window start date:July 1, 2023
    Transfer window close date:September 20, 2023

The Saudi Pro League transfer deadline day does not happen for another few weeks, with the window closing on September 20, 2023. That means clubs are free to conduct their business for around three weeks after the European clubs have their affairs settled.

Some managers, such as Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, have expressed their opposition to this fact, because, in the current climate, it means that players at top clubs may potentially become unsettled if the prospect of a lucrative move to the Middle East remains on the agenda.

When does the MLS transfer window close?

The MLS transfer window has already closed and so there will be no further transfers this season.

Major League Soccer in North America runs on a different calendar to most top European leagues, with games played from spring to fall rather than summer to spring.

Their mid-season transfer window just passed, with period running from July 5 until August 2, 2023. Before that, the first transfer window for MLS this season took place from January 31 until April 24, 2023.
