  • WHAT LASSO SAID ABOUT MESSI

His latest promotion sees the Argentine icon team up with Sudeikis as the popular Ted Lasso character is brought out of apparent retirement – following his exploits in English football – to watch Messi running rings around holiday makers on the beach. Sudeikis boldly claims “I’m gonna get out there”, before quickly retracting that statement and saying “Nah, I’m not gonna get out there” as he opts to remain as an interested observer with chilled beer in hand.

  • TELL ME MORE

Messi has also starred in another six-second ad for Michelob ULTRA, billed as GOAT vs DOG, that sees him keeping the ball away from a playful opponent before delivering a cheeky nutmeg on his four-legged companion.

  • WHAT NEXT FOR MESSI?

World Cup winner Messi is unlikely to be in attendance for Super Bowl LVIII in Nevada as he is currently in Saudi Arabia preparing for a friendly date with Al-Nassr and eternal rival Cristiano Ronaldo. From there, the Argentine icon and his Inter Miami team-mates are due to head to the Far East for meetings with a Hong Kong Select XI and Japanese outfit Vissel Kobe.
