  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Speaking with Bianconeri teammate Samuel Illing Jr., Weah elaborated on life in Italy and how being brought up as the son of a Ballon d'Or winner - George Weah - helped him as a footballer. More than anything though, being at PSG during their superstar era - with the likes of Mbappe, Neymar and Edinson Cavani on the pitch - Weah learned from some of the world's best.

    WHAT WEAH SAID

Speaking on Friday's Juventus Podcast, the winger said: "It was easy for me. I started playing professionally at 17, at PSG. There were Neymar, Mbappe, Cavani. I knew that at some point I would have to have my experience. I was at Celtic, then Lille for four years and now I'm here. The experiences were important, they helped me grow, in football and as a man. I am very proud of my experiences. Nothing was really complicated, but everyone has their own story, everyone has their own strength."

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Weah has adapted to life in Turin well, finding himself as a near-regular in Massimiliano Allegri's lineup while also thriving in a new position: wing-back. The American has started alongside international teammate Weston McKennie on multiple occasions, while the duo seem to have formed a new-found bond on and off the pitch, too. Weah's class on and off the pitch is due to the footballing heritage of his family, but also from those who he grew up around with.

    WHAT NEXT FOR WEAH?

The USMNT winger will now go about recovery over the next week or so, as he's been labeled as unfit for Sunday's derby D'Italia clash against Inter. He missed the entirety of the November FIFA International break with the USA, and trained separately from the main group Friday afternoon at the Juve facilities. He could return next week against Monza on December 1.
