  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

She has been looking to get her eye in on the training field, with one volleyed effort sent sailing towards a mini goal that was positioned some distance away from her. Daly failed to hit the back of the net, but did strike an unfortunate team-mate.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Daly has said “sorry” to fellow forward Lehmann on social media, with the Swiss star in the wrong place, at the wrong time as she got hit on the back. While Daly has been quick to apologise, she was left in hysterics after picking out an unsuspecting team-mate with a perfect strike.

  • WHAT NEXT FOR LEHMANN & DALY?

Lehmann and Daly will be hoping to combine on the field in midweek, with Villa having picked up just one win from their last four games in all competitions. They currently sit eighth in the WSL table and were held to a 2-2 draw by rock-bottom Bristol City last time out.
